Review for Go Ready Cruise Plan by Aegis General

I finally decided to review a plan I purchased because we had to use it and Aegis came through for us. On the way back from our Caribbean cruise, our flight home to NYC was severely delayed due to bad weather and we filed a claim for trip interruption. We sat on the tarmac for 6+ hours. We got support over email the following day and were reimbursed promptly after providing all documentation (without having to follow up multiple times)!

  • Trip Cancellations and Interruptions: Some plans offer reimbursement for trip cancellations up to 100% and trip interruptions up to 150% of the trip cost, helping you recover prepaid expenses if your cruise is canceled or cut short due to covered reasons.
  • Baggage Protection: Coverage is often available for lost, damaged, or stolen luggage, providing peace of mind that your belongings are protected throughout your journey.
  • Cruise-Specific Events: Cruise insurance can cover specific situations like cruise-ship disablement, missed connections, inclement weather, and more, which are unique to cruise travel.
  • Customization and Add-Ons: Cruise insurance can be customized with optional upgrades, such as Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) or Interruption For Any Reason (IFAR) coverage. Plans like the Go Ready Cruise Trip Plan also offer 24/7 access to telehealth services for non-emergency medical issues, concierge services, and identity theft protection, allowing you to tailor your coverage to your needs.
  • While cruise-specific insurance isn't required, it's highly recommended to ensure all aspects of your trip are adequately covered. Additionally, you might consider purchasing both travel insurance and a separate medevac transport membership for enhanced protection during your cruise.
