By having the Pre-Ex Waiver, illnesses or injuries being treated during your lookback period (which is the 3-6 months prior to your policy’s purchase date) will still be covered. Without it, those illnesses or injuries may result in a denied claim. Illnesses or injuries that have been stable for more than 6 months are not considered pre-existing.
