IMPORTANT FOR TRAVEL TO KENYA: Effective July 30, 2026, Kenya began requiring foreign visitors to have travel insurance in place prior to entry. This mandate has been paused until a Sept 16 hearing. If reinstated, securing a comprehensive travel medical plan that satisfies Kenya’s minimum coverage requirements would be a mandatory entry requirement since domestic health insurance plans generally do not provide coverage outside your home country. Policies must meet or exceed the government’s established minimum benefit thresholds in five designated coverage categories: Emergency Medical Transportation & Evacuation, Emergency Medical Expenses, Repatriation, Mental Health Care Services, and Prescribed Medicines & Drugs. Our Go Ready Priority Plus, Choice, and Cruise plans are Kenya compliant if the mandate is reinstated.

Travel Protection for Your African Journey
Coverage for Unexpected Trip Changes: Even the most carefully planned African adventure can face unexpected disruptions. Travel insurance can help reimburse eligible non-refundable trip expenses when covered events force you to cancel, postpone, or interrupt your travel plans.
Protection for Lost or Delayed Baggage: Lost or delayed luggage can create challenges when you’re far from home. Travel insurance can help reimburse covered belongings and essential purchases, allowing you to continue your journey with greater ease and confidence.
Emergency Medical Coverage Abroad: Whether you’re exploring the streets of Cairo, visiting family in Lagos, or traveling through the Serengeti, unexpected medical situations can arise. Travel insurance can help cover eligible emergency medical expenses, providing support when and where you need it most. And Kenya now requires $50,000 in health insurance for all foreign visitors.
Emergency Medical Evacuation Benefits: For travelers visiting remote safari destinations or rural regions, emergency transportation can be critically important. Travel insurance may help cover eligible emergency medical evacuation costs if specialized care or transportation to an appropriate medical facility becomes necessary.
Support During Family Emergencies: Unexpected situations at home can require sudden changes to your itinerary. Travel insurance may help cover eligible additional travel expenses if a covered family emergency requires you to modify your plans or return home earlier than expected.
